Pack runs are a feature I am sure most mobile Animal Jam players are aware of. In this feature, packs will team up to collect points which change by the month with usually changing maps depending on the month/season. This is a personal favorite feature of mine and remains one of the reasons I am able to play to this day without incredible boredom plaguing my mind. This article will go over pack runs, the community that surrounds them, and personal tips and tricks I use to average around 100 points each run and make sapphires using items I get in pack runs.
Pack runs start in your pack hideout. When you join a pack, if you click the sword and shield icon on the middle left of your screen, you will find that you may visit your hideouts for both your pack's Alpha and your pack only. This is the first choice you can make. If you're new or prefer running in a group, go to your alpha hideout. If you'd prefer a solo run or a run with people you know (or you are executing a tip known as boosting, which I will cover later,) go to your pack hideout.
In your pack hideout near where you clicked on the area to go to your hideout, there will be an icon in the middle left above your pack menu of a certain thing corresponding to that month's points. At the time this guide is being written, during the July 2025 update, the icon is a crab. There will be a list later in this article to go over that, though. You will click this icon and "start pack run". From there you will have three minutes to start the run yourself with people inside, or at the end of the timer it will start automatically.
In the run itself instructions will appear. These instructions explain to collect points before the timer runs out. There are four types of points. The first is the 1 point, which can be collected when ran past in a close range. The second and third are the single tap and multi tap 2 points, which you must tap in a close range to collect. The final is the varied action point, which when mimicking the action seen when you are in its range offers a very good 4-6 points. When you get these points, you need to turn them in to the turn in points across the map, which are represented using stone beacons.
